My daughter just got back from the store to buy some black-eyed peas for my traditional New Years Day lucky bowl of black-eyed peas.

And the damned store was out.

Thus, I can not have any lucky black-eyed peas.

If we lose tonight I will burn that store to the ground. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Why did you wait until the last minute?
We've had a can sitting on the counter for a week because we hate them and would probably forget to eat them.

Same here, went to the store and got wings but forgot the black-eyes peas.
The son is on his way over and he has been tasked to stop and find some.

Actually I found a can in the cabinet. It expired in 2008.

If the game is close in the 4th I'll have to open it and just chance the botulism.

Got ya covered. Never had BEP's before tonight. Actually pretty tastey with some bacon grease and peppers, over corn bread. Might be a tradition. especially once OU whoops some butt.
