maybe its about time you all admit that the guy can play some football, he may never be a great NFL QB but he is a gamer

I started Tebow in my FFB league. He got me 34 points. However, I could have started Matt Cassel, who had more. Locked up 7th place. What? What! :D

Not sure how he will do week in and week out, but he had a great game today and didn't do badly last week either. Denver may have found a QB.

Got a win. Had a great stat line and a great game. Threw for 300+ yards!!! Which surprised me. Congrats to him on probably locking up the starting job.

Hell no. Sam's about to lead the RAMS to a division championship and playofff (i know what you meant...media slobbering, etc, though)

and now Antonio Pearce is calling Tebow a future "franchise quarterback" on Sportscenter....blah

I heard a rumor that Bill B wants Tebow for Brady straight up

I have never understood the hate for him beyond beating OU.

He seems to be a good kid. He gets fired up. So what. If it were our QB being that fired up people on here would love him.

He is a winner. Period.

Good for him that he has done something that can't be taken away by anyone, and that very very few people in life get to do. He led an NFL team to victory.

Hoge was just dogging Tebow out on a later segment. He said (paraphrasing) "if that's all it takes, I could be a franchise quarterback."

I think most people have acknowledged that it's the over-the-top media coverage he gets that causes the dislike. In the MNC game, the announcers were talking like their lives had been changed by spending time with him leading up to the game. "Just spend 15 minutes with him..."

Edit: I definitely give him credit for what he's actually accomplished, though. The bastard! :D

Somehow I don't see his learning curve being as convoluted as Young's.

That's because Tim can learn.

Tim is going to be one of those guys who will have every accomplishment raised to ridiculous praise by the media (and local fans) and trivialized by everyone else.

He is like Barry Switzer coaching the Cowboys. Even a Super Bowl win meant nothing to his detractors, who had already decided before he was hired that he was a rotten coach. Just like Barry, Tim will never be able to counter the criticism no matter what he does. The opposing defense must have sucked or his surrounding WRs made his bad throws look good. By the same token, his surrounding cast will never get the credit they deserve by the fawning media.

I don't know if Tim will work out to be a great player in the NFL. He could get injured or his skills may simply be insufficient. But his looks, athleticism, character, and work ethic do embody the ideal football player. Like Roger Staubach, he's the All-American boy, the type that every mother wants to introduce to her daughter.

Unfortunately for Tim, a lot of people really, really hate the All-American boy.

The texans losing probably hurt Denver more than Houston. Houston now likely gets a new coach, while Denver has seen the birth of the Tebow era. That will be one ugly, not very successful era.

JLEW, I feel your pain. Being a huge Texans fan as well, a very disappointing season for Houston capped by a loss to Teblow.

I wish the Cowboys had Bradford. I can't believe St. Louis is going to make the playoffs if they beat Seattle.
