While many may have assumed that Sam was lthe all-time Sooner passing leader after game one of his career,he earned that honor today . Sam has thrown for 3357 yards in his rookie year and that eclipses the previous OU carrer mark for NFL passing formerly held by Indian Jack Jacobs-3268 yds (Cleveland Rams 1942-1949).Sam needs 10 more TD passes and 36 more interceptions to pass Jacobs in those categories as well.

One of these Days....ESPN is gonna be the leader in Sports though. You heard it here 1st. I've checked with my sources on this too.

Kinda weird how we've had all these great Sooner QB's and none of 'em turned out to be anything in the NFL (injuries and such) until Sam.

He passed Peyton Manning as the leader in completions by a rookie with today's effort. He still trails Manning in attempts by only 26, a number he should easily surpass next week.

He isn't even close to Troy Aikman. I know he left for UCLA, but he was a sooner.

Manning had 25. Bradford has 14. (TDs: Manning, 24, Bradford 18.) Manning had 1 win. Bradford has 7. That's probably the only stat that matters to Bradford :cool:

I qas hoping the Vikings had got their game in Sunday because all AD needs is 40 yards to become the all-time Sooner rusher in the NFL.Greg Pruit is currently #1 with 5672.I just think it would be so cool if Sam and AD had set the Sooner career NFL marks on the same day.
