WHAT SOONER GIFT(S) DID YOU GET FOR cHRISTMAS

I got the History of OU Football part one on dvd and a framed and matted picture of Bob Stoops tackling Billy Sims (from the 1979 OU-Iowa game).The picture I found was not the one where Bob does his Roy Williams imitatation.It is a short yardage situation where Coach has his arms around Sims' legs.This could help explain the differring answers from Billy and Coach on Bob making the tackle or not.

The slippers aren't exactly my taste but they are made well and keep my toes warm. I'm keeping them. Size 13 isn't easy to find that fit and feel good.

I've kept to every superstition I could think of for every BCS Game and have gotten to the point that I should quit all superstitions. Last night I watched Garth Brooks on Larry King and saw him in a oSu shirt while wearing my new Fiesta Bowl OU Hat, my slippers, my shirt and all the while holding my new book. Right now I still have them all while I watch Sam and the Rams. My Son's Friend from across the street (oSu fan) is here watching the game and playing with the new XBOX between Rams possessions.

I'm laying it all on the line but not intentionally. I'm just not even thinking about the outcome of any of it. I'm going for broke on this Bowl. Think I'll watch the pokes game and DVR it and then erase it.

Good thing is he's young and he's got time to get the other sigs. As he grows older he'll re-visit and educated himself on the glory of Sooners past I'm sure. If Sam was his hero growing up he's off to a hell of a start. Billy Sims was my hero when I was old enough to comprehend football and began my personal journey as a young, Crimson bleeding legionnaire (with a little help from my mother's FIRM guiding hand of course.) I remember being WOW'D as a young boy watching him run and knew I was watching something special.

Still working on it. The best advice we've had is for him to establish residency in Oklahoma for a year before enrolling full time. It's our understanding that he could still take up to six hours a semester during that year.

While he could go live with my parents in Purcell and work, I think the layoff would be more of set back than the out of state tuition we're going to lay out.
