talked to a friend of mine who is a hs coach in tx. he has many connections as recruiters come around during the year. Strong rumor going around is the reason Mack is not hiring any new staff is he will retire after new years and Gary Patterson will accept the ut job shortly after the rose bowl

Long live Coach Brown!

May be the rumor, but I believe if that were the case, he would have retired and let Muschamp take over before they lost him.

I know Mack is perceived as a softy, and to the players that's true, but make no mistake, he is a fiery competitor. He wont want to go out on a year like this one.

He may be forced out, but I don't see it a year removed from a NC title game.

I believe the coaches he wants are in bowl games, so no announcements yet for the teams they are with's sakes. Simple.

It's the new whorn make-a-wish-a-reality program!

Help whorns with terminal losing issues cope with their delusions by creating rumors to spread hope and joy in this time of misery and basketball during this holiday bowl-less season. Ho-ho-ho! Merry Obliviousness!

In this image, he is clearly removing his TCU visor. Clearly, this means he is leaving TCU and clearly, any top coach wants to coach at Texas so clearly, if I say clearly enough, it will be quite clear that Gary's going to Texas.

Muschamp to Florida wasn't planned. This may be their solution to the problem.

While all players are doing the froggie horns behind him, Gary is clearly raising his pinkie slightly and index finger more than slightly. Pinkie and index! CLEARLY he is not raising frog horns, but whorns, period. Patterson to Texas!

Gary's players have just read this thread and clearly believe its complete validity, as they are dumping their Texas-orange colored cooler all over Gary. Baptizing Gary with Texas-orange water cooler? GARY TO SUCCEED MACK!

Interesting how these "recruiters" have freely told everyone about this at the high school level but the press and everyone else has no clue.
We are certainly lucky that this story has been broken here on Soonerfans thanks to your "friend"

Your rumor needs to get in line. Rumors have been floating around the UT program for weeks now, and 99% of them don't pan out.

God rest ye merry SF.com gentlemen, I bring tidings of further proof!

All SF.com women have already assumed that Bob Stoops dyes his hair, and Mack Brown, who is always trying to reach his feminine side along with his rap music side to relate to his players (HE said it, not ME!), also decided to dye his hair... and leave Texas.

http://i52.tinypic.com/a3egco.jpg

In this photo, you can clearly see that Mack Brown has dyed his hair to be more like Bob Stoops, and is dressed in a blue coaching shirt. Bob Stoops and blue shirts are clearly two things that Texas are not, and clearly, another sign that there is an eminent (imminent? ADAMANT!) coaching change in the works.

Clearly.

What is Gary Patterson doing in this picture? CLAPPING. What have head coaches at the University of Texas been doing for the last decade, regardless of circumstances on the field? CLAPPING. We clearly have a NEW whorn coach, people!

(my gawd, I can't believe how mack-like he looks in that pic)

Fran is a teaching moment - a reminder what NOT to do when leaving coaching gigs for other places... or what not to do before leaving.

Fran Fran wore a Bammer pin to LT's Heisman finalist ceremony... yeah, LT was representing TCU, but Fran was clearly repping somebody else at that point.

Bammer got put on bowl ban when Fran Fran was at Bammer, so he wrote a widely publicized letter on loyalty and commitment to Bammer players to keep them from transferring... then, transferred himself to A&M. Aaaaaa....whoop!
