It seems like not too long ago there were lots of WW2 veterans you could talk to. Now, their numbers are shrinking fast. :(

Time takes its toll. Id guess there aint a one thats left, under 85 or so

I have read a much longer story on this guy a couple of years ago.

When he was in the jungle he was so sick he couldn't keep anything down except breast milk. So when this story says they nursed him back to health, that is literally what happened!
