I don't want to be up all night, just get up and watch for a few minutes during the peak. When is that?

Why bother? Just look on the Internet tomorrow. People will have pics posted. They might be a little dark, but that's what a lunar eclipse looks like.

I swear, sometimes you guys do things the hard way.

EDIT: In case you forget, you can just look at this one. The one tonight will look roughly the same.

I think it's more about seeing it in person. I could google pictures of an eclipse right now if just seeing one was the case.

It's about 1/3 across right now. Pretty cool to watch. Sometimes insomnia can actually pay off.

No naked dancing pagans here...well, except for me.

It is unseasonably warm outside. The coyotes aren't singing to me tonight. I hope that I didn't scare them away.

Seriously, it is pretty cool to watch the earth's shadow slowly creep across the surface of the moon.

It was all cloudy here...and the cover was far too high to fly above or Mrs. V and I would have taken a plane up to check it out. :-/

It looked a lot like this (only a bit smaller with the nekkid eye).

I didn't know there was an eclipse last night. At about 1:45 or so momma let the dog out and she calls me out. She goes "check out the moon" So I look out the window and don't see **** - except a brazillion stars. She goes "no, you have to come outside and look straight up." So I did. Very small, but very groovy. Watched it a few minutes then went back to bed.

The End.

Might have to wait a while. Last time there was a full lunar eclipse on the winter solstice was 1638.
