I guess Sketchers got such negative press from this they took the shoes off their site.

I mean, they didn't copy it all too much.

Bob's seem a bit nicer....the Tom's looks like something Lid would wear with his Mack Brown Smoked Jacket.

I have no idea what the hell any of you are talking about.

"Toms" are ugly, cheaply made canvas shoes. The guy who developed the brand came up with a brilliant marketing strategy. He advertised that if you buy a pair of his cheap-o footwear, he'll give a pair to some poor shoeless person in East Bolviastan.

Lib gals absolutely eat that up and buy lots of Tom's shoes because by wearing them, they advertize that they really care about the world's poor. No idea if shoelessness in the developing world has been mitigated by airdrops of these ugly shoes.

Yep. I made a negative comment about them to somebody at work and got an earful about all the reasons to buy that crappy shoe.
