Next season since we won't have a "big" running back I'd like to see us put Marshall Musil in as our running back in goaline situations. He runs well and is a bigger body to pound it in on those short yardage situations. What do you guys think?

Can he run better/harder than Millard? If I were to do that I would plug Musil in at FB and Millard deep. But not a bad idea. Calhoun should be a good short yardage back I think.

text that to Bob, He may not have thought of it.

Musil looked good in the spring game

the coaches have to love Millard to give him so many carries/touches

as a FB, i haven't really seen that, i guess since Littrell. and he's a freshman

Seth seems to have done okay for himself, by the way...

If we didn't have Trey "Beast Mode" Millard, I'd totally take that idea to Bob...

Also, let's give Finch and Clay a shot next year, and see how they do in goal line situations. Who knows, they might be goal line studs.

You would keep Trey Millard on the field at FB in this idea...Musil would line up at RB behind him.

i'm saying that they'd be more likely to let Millard carry than Musil, so Musil would more likely line up at FB in that case

That sounds good to me too...either way you have a bigger guy trying to pound it across the goaline...and both of them are good runners.

I saw Musil in the spring game... kid did very well. Would love to see him get some goal line carries and watch him power it through.

Once this OL gets another year in the weight room I think you'll see a substantial improvement on the goalline. Right now, we've got 2 converted (& still undersized) TE's starting on the OL, plus both of the current TE's are 20+ lbs. lighter than Gresh & Eldridge were. Not a good recipe for goalline success.

I'm more concerned with the OL creating a hole than the RB carrying it across.

I'm not gonna miss Vonn Miller.

That's my goaline set on the ps3 game.

Don't forget about the 6-0 / 198 Jonathan Miller. He red shirted this year and my bet is he will add 10 before the 2011 season starts.

I think they should line up Millard in the I-Back Position and let him beat on DLinemen and Linebackers! Millard is a Stud guys, he has Sundays in his future!

This may be a far stretch, but I think Clay puts some weight on this off season and will be more of our short yardage back with Finch being our finesse guy.

I like the idea of the hammer being the goal line guy. He played running back in highschool.

Finch will be so good next year we wont have goal line situations.

80 YPC minimum. Mark it down.
