Don't know if that line up dictates who will actually play.... every game this season they have listed the starter as Ibiloye instead of Jefferson (the defensive introduction after the game starts).

It makes sense given the UCONN O. They are primarily a running team that likes to control the clock.

And it wouldn't suprise me if UConn doesn't come out throwing the ball. It would be a real surprise.

Ibiloye was on the field much of the game in the Big 12. We seemed effective against Neb's rush, hopefully this will be the same.

Underrated player so is Javon Harris.

Brent V: Hey, Bob, should we start Jefferson or Ibiloye?

Bob: Will Bob Barry be calling this one?

Brent V. Don't know, probably on TV it will be Musberger.

Bob: Let's start Ibiloye then.

didnt feel like TJeff played much against Nebbish just because of their tendencies to run the ball more. He still was out there and made a huge sack. I have no doubt he'll be in there in certain situations, but we might tend to a bigger lineup with Ronnell. If Im UCONN, I cant say I like having to pick my poison between the Hammer and TJeff. :)

is this lineup any different from the one for Nebraska?

I'll bet my house they run a lot bigger guys out there. They are going to force Uconn to throw the ball. I think you will see a lot of R. Lewis and other big bodies out there.

Regardless, R. Lewis will be at DE. Is that the consensus?

Probly figuring that our DB's will be able to cover the pass game without help (greater speed and UConn QB's tendency to float the ball) so throwing a bit more emphasis into stuffing the run.

Now, if UConn has sense, they'll throw shallow across the middle.

UConn literally can't throw the ball. I think they'll run both the 4-3 and 5-2 with the DEs crashing every play, as opposed to any pass drops. Ronnel @ DE should have a big game. He can pin his ears back and play sic 'em!

never speak of this again

That only works if the QB has time but SHHHH!!!! Realistically, I don't think Frazier will be able to throw any good passes.

You think Coach Edsall knows about this? I bet he'd find this inside information invaluable, since he'd know what defense to plan for...

Makes more sense to revert back to 4-3 given the number 2 rushing leader in the country in Jason Todman. And the lack of passing offense... need a stronger d-line and defensive end rotation... put Tony Jefferson back in when U Conn reverts more to the pass in the second half.
