I think it's smart and if he's smart he should be able to cash them in over time unless the casino changes chips

Bellagio instituted the microchipping a few years back when they implemented their new chips. Whether or not they have geo-tracking is another thing (probably not). Either way, this guy is ****ed.

Ya. All he has to do though is cut one open and see if it does. If it doesn't then he can go in and gamble a lil every now and then and try and turn a profit that way. If worse comes to worse he can always spend them on strippers and hookers :D ;)

Since the chips are only good in that Casino he must have a set as big as basketballs to walk back in and sit down to gamble, Now that would be a gamble.. Ya know they are scanning everyone for some one who resembles him and will be watching close

If they have the RFID chip, they can be detected because the tray or bank he took them from will have an inventory of which specific chips went into that bank (computerized of course). They then program an alert into those chips and when you try to redeem them, they will know that they came out of that table bank on that day.

The geochipping feature is usually limited to within the casino and hotel.

Every casino has a denomination at which the floor supervisors start tracking chips. For a property like the Bellagio it may be $500 chips. Smaller casinos it is usually $100 chips. When you appear at the cashier cage to redeem several $500 chips, particularly since they have recently had several stolen, they will check with the pit personnel and determine if someone has recently walked from the table after winning several $500 chips. If not, you are busted.

Ok. I didn't really know how it all worked. Thanks for the info. Man that must really suck to have 1.5 million sitting around and not being able to do anything with it

He doesn't have 1.5 million. He has several pieces of clay that could well land him in the pokey.

Yeah he's never getting anything for these. Even without computer chips, they'll surely have serial numbers, and few enough $25k chips will get cashed in that they'll probably be able to just match the numbers anytime someone cashes them in.

I think he's fine. Possession is 9/10's of the law, plus he stole them fair and square.

No serial numbers. Unless you are referring to the inventory number programmed into the RFID chip.
