I loved the article but thought this was an interesting turn of phrase. "qualities Heupel seems to teach as easily as he used to throw a spiral." Now, I love Josh. He is in my top 3 favorite OU players of all time in fact. However, throwing a spiral is not what Josh was good at. Josh could get it to any receiver anywhere on the field but it was rarely a spiral :D

I think a lot of people think you can't learn how to be a terrific OC being a QB Coach at OU. I think a lot of people are wrong. If you can't learn how to be a Good OC at OU....you're DOOMED! DOOMED I TELL YOU! DOOMED!

Great read, kinda brings a tear to the eye! My favorite memory of Josh is him running down the field in 2000 after we just tied Nebraska and he was pointing at the Nebraska defense as to be telling them GAME ON! I love Josh I KNOW he will start his OC job off with a BIG WIN!!!!!

Heupel came back to OU just before Bomar's Holiday bowl in 2005. Bomar's summer of arrogance tour in 2006 was his infamous dismissal of Heupel as the "Heisman Loser", just before he was booted off the team.
