Absolutely unreal if true. That would mean Capel is now something like 1 for 15 on retaining freshman for four years. I really hope its not true.

Laugh if you want, but when a womens team player was ousted about a week ago, the SS.com roster had her off before anyone else reported it.. and I think the same was the case for RB and JD if I recall correctly.

Freshman T.J. Taylor leaves OU basketball team

NORMAN — Freshman T.J. Taylor has left the Oklahoma men's basketball team. Sooners coach Jeff Capel said Taylor is leaving for personal reasons but plans to transfer to a junior college. Taylor told Capel on Wednesday.

“I love Coach Capel and the staff at OU, and I wish everyone on the team the best of luck,” Taylor said in a statement.

The 6-foot-3 guard was a three-time All-State player at Denison High School (Texas). He suffered a concussion during the preseason and did not play in any games.

this is crazy. never heard of the kid but not sure why he'd leave as a freshman with all that playing time available. factor in what's happened with cable and his "players" over the last couple of years and you'd think they would have done everything necessary to keep tj on the squad. if it was something that couldn't be handled internally then it is just another indictment on cable and his ability to run a program.
