if reports from espn prove to be right then al golden from temple will be the new coach at miami.

the list of people they were after was never that impressive to me for a school that thinks so highly of themselves.

golden hasnt beat many teams with winning records and isnt the big time guy i expected out of "the u"

seems kind of silly to oust an alumnus to hire a guy from the MAC and be considering a coach from the CFL.

Remember when they hired Jimmy Johnson away from OSU? Who would have expected anything out of that hire?

Yeah I didn't see this one coming. I have seen some Miami Fans post that the "new" Miami Administration wants to field a competitive team but isn't willing to invest what it takes to be at the top and they are comfortable with that.

Maybe they were right?

I think Miami doesn't want the "bad guys" that Miami used to recruit in the "good ole days" and the notoriety that came along with it. They seem content with being competitive and maybe stumbling along a real good season every once in awhile. I think Miami is descending more into SMU territory than elite status, which being a private school is more along their natural territory than elite status.

Al golden brought a little bit of success to a Temple that has been absolutely dreadful to my recollection. Not a bad hire in my opinion.

Golden needs a good OC, though.

How about Holgerson? You would agree with that right silver?:D :P

Holgerson is a good OC and would instantly improve the Miami offense, which has been far from great for the past few years.
