Pretty freaky....I've been in that place before. If anyone was in there when that happened....they must have about pooped themselves.

If I ever visit Minneapolis, I am never driving on a single bridge or staying under a single roof :eek:.

My mother who is from Michigan tells it is very common for areas that snow that heavily to experience roof collapses, due to the weight of the snow ecxceeding the capacity of the roof.

Now the bridge in 2007 should NEVER have collapsed.

Yes roof collapses happen due to snow, mostly in bldgs like large stores, gyms, etc.

The strength of the bridge steel was likely affected by all the salt they use to combat snow and ice even though it happened in the summer.

Plus a lot of the folks who live up there drink heavily.
