The team confirmed via Twitter (http://twitter.com/TBBuccaneers) Monday that linebacker Quincy Black (http://www.nfl.com/players/quincyblack/profile?id=BLA144191), who broke his forearm in the second half, also will miss the rest of the season.
"Those guys are hard to replace," Tampa Bay cornerback Ronde Barber (http://www.nfl.com/players/rondebarber/profile?id=BAR048197) said. "Gerald's hard to replace. He was playing so well on the back end of the season. Quincy has been a staple of our 'D' for two years now.
The Buccaneers (8-5) lost cornerback Aqib Talib (http://www.nfl.com/players/aqibtalib/profile?id=TAL428789) and center Jeff Faine (http://www.nfl.com/players/jefffaine/profile?id=FAI112720) for the season with injuries in last week's loss to Atlanta. Guard Davin Joseph (http://www.nfl.com/players/davinjoseph/profile?id=JOS174977) and safety Cody Grimm (http://www.nfl.com/players/codygrimm/profile?id=GRI743040) suffered season-ending injuries the previous week against Baltimore.
"Don't let them do the 18-game season this year, because we won't make it," Barber said. "I say that jokingly, but we're on pace right now: We're losing two guys a week for the season now, and it's tough."
