I'm going to start a thread about it.

Until then, I'll have to settle for this thread where I wonder if Bob Stoops will go to Florida.

Rahr.

He started the thread before I laid down the decree. Besides, he's cooking tonight up at the firehouse and all them boys love his biscuits. And gravy.

Stoops Denies Rumors of University of Florida Contract

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops is negotiating a contract with the University of Florida to become it’s head football coach, according to a report by GatorCountry.com. The Tulsa World, however, is reporting that Coach Bob Stoops says the report is “not true, whatsoever.”

The report claims a contract is in its final stages, and that Stoops is in talks with the University of Florida’s Athletic Director Jeremy Fole. The report also mentions that Kerwin Bell, a former Florida Gators quarterback, could be up for the offensive coordinator position.

Additional names mentioned in the article as in the running for head coach of the Florida Gators include: Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham and Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschmap. The GatoryCountry.com report also indicates that neither is likely to be Foley’s first choice.

What OKC Sports Director Dean Blevins thinks:

A reliable Florida insider tells me “it will be an interesting 48 hours with Stoops …the job is definitely his to turn down...I expect him to stay."

But I have complete faith in the Tulsa World report that had Stoops telling them that the report out of Florida this morning that had him in “final negotiations,” were not true. Semantics are often involved in cases like this.

In my opinion, “final negotiations” is very strong and is much different from a coach being in discussions. Bob Stoops is in a “can’t lose” situation with two of premiere programs in college football wanting his services. It is a fluid story that will end in one of two ways. One, Stoops denying having any interest in Florida and never gotten into negotiations. Or two, Stoops taking the job.

I believe he will stay. No one has ever left OU for a “better job.” Doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen. I’d just be surprised it did.

Here's how you handle “final negotiations”....lol

You post a picture of Bob and remind him of his loss against your team on the Website that broke the news....LMAO.

This as bad a subscription technique as Insider pulled....
