I respectfully disagree. IMHO, this gives us a chance to get the BCS monkey off our backs. The one thing people hold over OU is they can't win in BCS games. Even if Uconn isn't great, a win is a win.

You also have to remember that people constantly bring up the fact that OU can't win bowl games. If they beat Uconn then they will have won 2 in a row. That's why this is a must win game. A BCS win can change the legacy of Bob Stoops and OU in bowl games. I remember going to the Florida NC game and seeing some jerk fly a banner that said we were 0-4 in BCS games. Trust me, there is something to gain by winning this game.

right, something to gain by the rest of the CFB world saying OU beat UCONN in the bowl that makes the Big East a loser automatic BCS bid.

it's a qualified win, if we win like we should. lose-lose for us.

beating UCONN is only marginally better than losing to a Stanford. but with lots of strings attached either way. our only way out is to badly punish UCONN half a hundred style....and win the conference next year too.
