So who do we even have to worry about leaving this year? Other than Broyles and T. Lewis I have a hard time believing anyone even has the option of thinking about leaving. Oh and what if they declare and then there is a lengthy work stoppage? Would they be screwed? If so could be a record low number of underclassmen leaving this year...

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- For three underclassmen in the mix for national college football honors tonight, the potential for an NFL (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/National_Football_League) lockout next season could impact their decisions about whether to apply for early entry in the 2011 NFL Draft.
All three players -- Oklahoma receiver Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma State receiver Justin Blackmon and Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Andrew_Luck) -- said Wednesday they will strongly consider making the move to the NFL after their teams' respective bowl games.
Neither Blackmon nor Luck, a third-year sophomore from Houston, has filed the papers to request a grade from NFL officials about where they project to be drafted. Broyles, a junior who leads the nation in receptions (118), plans to submit his papers soon.
Broyles received a fourth-round grade last year and returned to Oklahoma for the 2010 season.
"I feel like it's an accomplishment that I can submit my name and figure out where I am," Broyles said. "It gives me a gauge of what I need to work on."
Broyles said the departure of Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson, who was named head football coach at Indiana (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Indiana) earlier this week, will have no bearing on his decision.

I don't see how a POSSIBLE lockout is going to impact any underclassmens decision. If I understand things right, a lockout will happen sometime after the April NFL draft. So, it will still be up in the air weather there will be a lockout even after the draft itself. No one is going to know if there is going to be a lockout when these guys have to declare for the draft. I'm pretty sure Broyles and Lewis are gone. They are not going to risk injury by coming back. They have both had great years and now is the time to go. JMHO

It's the possibility of a lockout not just a guarantee of a lockout that would make them stay. They have until the deadline to guage the chances of it happening. I personally think Broyles stays and Lewis goes.

We really don't have any players that really have a chance at early exit and will make the first round.

Lewis and broyles are the only two that can leave early and will be drafted and neither of them are first rounders this year.

I won't be surprised if either leave early, but just don't see it happening.

I seem to think they will both go. If only one leaves I think it will T. Lewis. I doubt they both stay.

They both will go and get second round money.
