This one seems to be made for left=handed people. they USB ports are on teh left side so it's ahrd to work with the mouse on the right side.

Wireless mouse is where it's at. I can't stand to see a mouse tied to a leash.

I've gone back to a wired mouse. I've never used a wireless mouse that could work more than 3 inches from the receiver. I'm not going to waste anymore money on them.

Most need more distance than that to work, the 2.4gHz wireless needs about 6" or so. The early ones were attrocious but they are much better now. I have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard on my HTPC that is about 15 feet away from the receiver. On my previous laptop I had to put the Bluetooth receiver on the left side while I moused on the right side, it the receiver was too close it didn't work that well. Nothing that I use has a corded mouse anymore, not in the last 6 years.

Mmm...mouse tail. Making me hungry.

I guess a wireless mouse makes sense for a desktop, but I always use a laptop. I think I'm the only person in the world that can't stand using the touchpad thing. I have to use a mini-mouse.

Touchpads are worthless, especially for the work I do with CAD/BIM and 3DSMax. To me wireless makes even more sense for a laptop because of location flexibility. My new laptop has built-in Bluetooth so I have a Dell (Logitech) Bluetooth mouse, the same one that I have for my desktops and HTPC. I don't like the mini-mice, just too small for my hands, I use the same mouse pretty much everywhere, at only $9.00 a pop (http://www.discountelectronics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2297) and $29.00 for the desktop keyboard/mouse combo (http://www.discountelectronics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2385) it is cheap enough.

oh..yeah, this is a laptop. the touchpad is really sensitive, so I gotta have a real mouse.

I use a Razer Orochi, can be wired, or bluetooth. It's more responsive in wired mode, but even it's bluetooth performance is way above most mice.
