Does Wilson leave now or stick around by splitting duties and giving us half of his attention.

I hope he leaves now. This is not a bashing thread. But, giving the Sooners half of his attention is worse than giving the Sooners none of his attention.

He's got a lot on his plate.

He leaves now.

Well, I know he won't be around for the bowl game...

Most of the time when an assistant leaves for a HC job they go right away, unless there is National Title at stake.

I am thinking he's gone immediately to build his staff.

I'm sure its like any other coaching vacancy... he will leave now to get to know his team and to begin his recruiting process.

Mark Richt in 2000. Fla State fans lipped him like crazy after the loss. Plus, he was going to Georgia.

KW started at OC for the 2006 Fiesta and had changed quite a bit, it seemed

Who's going to call plays? Norvell or Heupel?

If he takes the job, he leaves immediately. That's in the best interest of both schools. No doubt about it.

Mike Stoops left right away when he got the Arizona job. It is best they leave now -- our offense will be in great hands. Hope Norvell stays on the sidelines because with his energy not sure he could stand the booth. Mangino was always on the sidelines and think it is better to have them right there when they can react quickly to a change. Norvell and Heupel on the sideline would be awesome.

Actually, I think he started in 2005 when we played Oregon in the Holiday Bowl.

It was the Holiday Bowl because Stoops went out and pulled Heupel back from Arizona where Mike Stoops thought he would have him for two years. Remember when Long offered his help and was told thanks but no thanks at the Holiday Bowl.

He's leaving now... why stick around to help when the fans want him throttled for not beating Nebrasky by 50? lol!

Another dumb @$$ post. To even think for a second that Wilson would stay around for a second when his new job would require so much attention and care. How dumb would it be for him to stay or for anyone to even insinuate that he would.
