Yes, Indiana's program has not been very good for the better part twenty years. Lot's of reasons why, but the main one? Money. When your facilites suck and you pay your HC the lowest in the B10, you usually get what you pay for.

So why would K. Wilson come to IU? Money!

We've finally got an AD (NOT the one that hired Sampson) that WANTS to put IU Football on the map. The AD before him did too, but the Sampson debacle sealed his fate. Former AD Greenspan got a $60mm stadium expansion started. One that ANY program in the country would be proud of. We're willing to pay up to $2mm for a coach, and Coach Lynch had the best recruiting classes ever in IU history the last couple years. Coach Wilson can come in hear and win 6-8 games consistently with a cupcake non-conference schedule, get IU to a bowl game every year, and he'll be the King of the town (next to Coach Crean).

A short video on Indiana's new Stadium project. At 24,000 square feet, it's supposed to be the largest weight training facility at any University. It is AWESOME. They also built a Basketball practice facility which also houses a museum for IU's five national championships. It's called Cook Hall.
