As long as I can remember football I can remember Oklahoma and Nebraska playing some great football games. I'll never forget Jackson's one handed catch, one of my first big time play memories. It was truly one of the best rivalries in the land. Watching the Big 12 title game reminded me of how these teams played when I was young, blue collar. It's not always pretty but both teams came to work on both sides of the ball.
There's something about taking a teams best shot and getting up off the floor and winning. It was long overdue for OUr program and it couldn't have come at a better time against a better team. It was very blue collar against a team that was trying to play the game more physical, impose it's will. It reminded me of how our programs use to and are suppose to play the game.
Thanks for everything Nebraska and good luck in that other conference, I appreciate the memories.
