The Big 12 is definitely happy the Sooners won last last with this article. When you log on your site, the picture of the Sooners from last night is the first of the pictures that rotate plus a really nice write-up.

Last sentence of the article:

And no matter the method, Oklahoma and the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship has become inseperable.

This was the 1st Big XII champ game that I attended where the game wasn't over entering the 4th qtr. Unfortunately I didn't attend the 2006 game in KC. I've been to every one except that one since 2002. 2007 in San Antone was the closest one I had attended and it was over in the 3rd qtr. Last nights game was a heck of a way to end the Big XII and the interconference rivalry between OU/Neb.

Side bar: my wife will remain undefeated in Big XII championship appearances. I told her when it was 17-0 that her streak was coming to an end.

Great read but is there something wrong w/ these two statements?

One of the biggest came on the drive that produced Stevens' deciding field goal. After being sacked for a 14-yard loss, Jones and the Sooners faced a third and 24 at their own 40. Jones sidestepped pressure, floated to his left and found Cameron Kenney for a 23-yard gain. On fourth-and-one, Jones and Kenney (who had a team-high six catches for 65 yards) hooked up on an 11-yard slant completion to the Nebraska 26. Five plays later, Stevens provided the game winner.

The third-and-24 conversion was Oklahoma's only success in 16 third-down plays. Last week against Oklahoma State, the Sooners converted 16 of 27 third downs. Again, an example of winning with variety.

Huh? They even managed to make our pathetic 3rd down stats sound good?!?

I love this quote:

"We knew they carry the football very loosely and we wanted to attack the football and be very violent going after the football and we got great results," Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables said."

And people think Muschump's a BAMF.

I'm not surprised. They also misspelled inseparable. :D
