There were no bad calls by the refs, your team just got beat. Both defenses slowed down the opposing offenses but OUr defense put OUr offense in scoring position more than yours did for you. And even though you have ". . . the best kicker (Herbstreit) has ever seen" it was OUr kicker who scored the deciding points.
Some think you won't do well in the Big 10. But I think your brand of football (stingy defense, suspect offense) will match up well against a lot of the teams you will face in conference play. But something that won't go over well is bitching about the officiating everytime you lose a game. Man up, Bo. Nobody wins em all.
On that note, future generations perusing the records of the old Big XII conference will see the names of the championship coaches, Osborne, Mackovic, Slocum, Solich, Barnett, Snyder, Brown and Stoops except that they will see the name Stoops almost as many times as all the other guys combined and they will think, "Hmmm, he must have been pretty good." For certain, they won't see the name Pelini . . .
