Meteorologist Hallie Shulman joined the KAKEland WeatherPlex in September 2010.
Hallie came to KAKE after spending almost two years as the Morning Meteorologist for KTEN in Denison, Texas, gaining valuable experience forecasting everything from tornadoes to snowstorms. Before stopping in Texas, she worked as a fill-in Meteorologist for KRCG in Jefferson City, Missouri, while earning her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, in three and-a-half years, from the University of Missouri- Columbia.
Born and raised in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado, Hallie is excited to be working in KAKEland, closer to home, and able to forecast weather that she grew up watching. “Moving to the heart of tornado alley is going to be a very challenging, but exciting opportunity. The tornado sirens blared my first night in Wichita.”
In Hallie’s free time, she can be found playing with her two year old rescue dog Chihuahua “Zoey”, shopping for shoes, working out, enjoying reality TV, experimenting in the kitchen, or spending time with family and friends.
Hallie is anxious to get involved in the community and meet new people. Don’t be a stranger if you see her out and about!
