Took some real guts to come back after that start. Got to hand it to the guys. I knew we had more talent but I was pretty nervous after getting down like that and not converting TDs.

In a way it reminds me of the 2000 Nebraska game. We spotted them a big lead, then the defense took over.

I have to say, the last 2 games have shown the team has made remarkable progress in its composure. That 1st Q was as bad as any Q we've played this year, and truth told I thought we were going to fold. Outstanding tenacity, and some good adjustments, especially on offense, to slug right back into it.

I have to say, though, if we don't start getting some TDs in the red zone, I'm going to keel over from heart failure!

This game had a much different feel than other games. Last week, I was nervous leading up to the game with OSU. Tonight, down by 17, I was somewhat worried because of the way the offense was playing, but I knew our defense could settle down and shut down their one-dimensional offense. 7 of those 17 Nebraska points came on one long run. The other 10 were gift-wrapped by great field position. Other than that, they never consistently moved the ball. Props to this entire team and coaching staff for not panicking. That was one stout defense from Nebraska, but we did just enough offensively to win.
