At the 4:15 mark of the video Spencer starts singing Oklahoma and flashing his 1985 National Championship ring.

Even more amazing was the fact that he left his feet at the 5-yard line to do it. Despite the fact that OU lost, and the weather was miserable, that remains one of the best football games I've ever watched in person.

Great video clip! Loved how Spencer would read up on vocabulary words the night before an interview so he could wow the media... they loved meeting with him because he seemed very well-read and eloquent in his speaking abilities. His roommates would laugh their *sses off whenever they saw him "studying" the night before.

He's great on CBS Sports... great to see him have a great career in sports journalism.

My parents had a cat named after Spencer back in the 80s... :)

Spencer is one of my faves from my childhood, it seemed like he was at OU for about 9 years, for some reason. I remember the interviews, and the word "articulate" always being bandied around about him. It was pretty obvious he would have a TV career after football, and I'm very happy about all of his success, and the fact that he mentions his time at OU whenever the opportunity arises. Seems like a great guy, and of course, a GREAT Sooner.
