Nostalgia plentiful as old Big 12's end nears (http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/22380/nostalgia-is-plentiful-as-old-big-12s-end-nears)

Heisman winners like Johnny Rogers and Mike Rozier, among other legends like Turner Gill, Tommie Frazier and Roger Craig all helped build the rivalry across from Sooner legends like Steve Owens, Billy Sims, and Greg Pruitt, all Heisman-winning running backs.

Make room for another statue!!!

Greg and Joe should have won it,,I believe at least 1 not winning was due to the Televison Ban ,correct me if I'm wrong,,,anyway those 2 should have gotten theirs for sure.

There have been 2 MAJOR Heisman screw jobs involving OU players; Paul Hornung winning over Tommy McDonald in 56, and old man Weinke winning over Heupel in 2000

It's a common misconception that Pruitt won the Heisman back in 1971. The one people forget is Billy Vessels.

I hear the answer to that question comes with the download of a Boomer Sooner ringtone, but unfortunately no one has been able to find out where to download one yet:D

Although Tommy was well deserving, the player truly screwed that year was Jim Brown. Definitely agree on Heupel though.
