actually the meat does not come in a can. it comes in a brick wrapped in plastic. Like wolf-brand chili shrink wrapped.


I'm not saying I don't enjoy bell once in a while when i'm drunk, and I do like Cabana's tomatillo sauce, and a couple of their other sauces, but the regular salsa, Bueno wins it hands down. I do like Cabana's crunchy chicken tacos, too. everything else, I like better at Bueno.

Cabana? I have friends who like Cabana. Their rotisserie chicken is okay, but that's as far as it goes. Bell, John, Tico, Pronto, Mayo and all others and nothing but flatulence factories.

And that leaves Bueno. The only one worth eating. In a pinch. If drunk.

We had one open up a few miles from us in South Austin in the last year or so, they have a hot on the salsa bar along with the regular Bueno salsa. The mild the other day had some heat to it, it is very seasonal and depends on the batch of peppers they throw in there, or maybe they make it a bit warmer down here. I know the "hot" Popeye's chicken here is about the same as the mild in Louisiana.

I can make a can of alpo taste better than all of those places in about 15 minutes can have you a nice taco salad or burrito. Chips and dips are even easier. Go to the grocery store for God's sake! Buy a cheap knife and a cutting board. You can buy a decent shredded cheese. Chop an onion. But some fresh jalpenos/habeneros.

You can cook the meat up and put it in a tupperware bowl throw the rest of the ingredients in a bag and cook it all in a microwave and it will still be better than any of that stuff.

Last time I ate Bueno was in Norman on 12th and it was one of the worst meals I have ever paid for. It was so bad my girlfriend and I both tossed the food in the trash and went somewhere else and ate. Just inedible.

Taco Bell is meh. I like their Baja Chicken Chalupas and Volcano Tacos and that's it. Big Truck Tacos is good. I have never had a burrito at Qbdoba, but I like their chicken quesadillas. Freebirds is ok. I might go there to get something really spicy. Chipotle....I only go there at 2am in Dallas drunk off my *** the night before the RRR.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop is good. I even like the little tacos with housemade hot sauce and roasted jalapeno at Taco Rico on Lincoln in OKC north of the Capitol. Taco Cabana is decent. They do get points for fresh made tortillas. Their food isn't anything special though.

Just about every fast food mexican place is sh!t. Most have one or two items that are decent and the rest is crap.
