when it comes to kids and concussions, I'm all for taking them out of contact drills, full contact scrimmages and games for as long as is necessary. We'll miss Nelson, but I'd rather he be out until he's fully recovered.

i talked to jnel after the game & he seemed fine & he was telling me he had another concussion before & he felt way worse after that one.. i couldnt even tell anything was wrong with him.

Two things about the Nelson deal that I really liked to see

1) Stoops having the medical staff take away his helmet...just shows again that Stoops will never risk one of his guys health over a football game

2) That Nelson was mad as hell, these guys love this team and their coaches and they want to win. Love the passion

Another thing about Nelson that I loved was that after he was done with his hopeless helmet search and resigned to the fact that he was sitting this one out, he was giving Austin Box a big hug after the big guy's INT. :)

Nelson needs to make sure he understands how serious concussions are and that evven though he might feel good to go...another hit right after that could be his last or even end his career. They need to set down and have a talk with him if they haven't already. I do love the passion but we've got a good team and still won the game without him. We need guys to learn how to avoid concussions and still be effective.
