Had a good night. Our kicking game has been a real problem, but not in the punting department. No one has really talked about him here, but he deserves some props.

I graduated with Tress and I have to say that he's one of the most respectable guys Ive ever known. Lots of class and optimism. He's played great all year. I just wish he could have gotten hit on a different kick because they woulda been back at the 3.

Tress is a great punter (probably will be in the NFL because of it). I wish he was better at kickoffs.

I was watching an NFL game this weekend and thinking they needed someone like Tress. Guy was averaging 25 yards a punt.

Well he wasn't so much as pushed into the punter as he was flipped into the punter.

Tress is a class act and gven the chance to do field goals again would most likely be successful based on his results while playing at Union High School!

Yeah, Tress is a great punter! It was against Utah State where he had the 85 yard punt though. 3rd longest in school history.

Anyone know his official stats? I think it was a crock that he wasn't even on the Ray Guy watch list this year. The coverage team probably hasn't helped him but his actual punt distance and placement is excellent IMO. Award criteria has three factors: total average; number of punts placed inside the opponents 20 yard line; and net average. from big12.com.... they're wrong on his longest at 58 so I don't know how accurate that whole website is, now.

Oh yeah, that website is just for the big 12 games so it wouldn't have his 85 yard punt in there.
