We have never been afraid to play a tough non-conference schedule, and each year, especially since the invention of the BCS, we have profited from playing and winning against challenging non-conference teams. We should give Stoops credit for not playing Fla. Atlantic, the Citadel, Stephen F. Austin, Phoenix, U., etc, and playing FSU, Miami, BYU. When will these other programs (e.g. Aggie Cult Members) learn? I recall we have been in the top 5 or so of SOS each year for a while. Not too shabby.
