After 12+ years of marriage, tonight was the first time I've ever watched a Sooners game in the presence of my mother-in-law, who is not much of a sports fan.

When they showed one of the horsepigs, she burst out, "What IS that?"

I had to LOL.

Probably the same one what gave me a lap dance at an OU women's game not too long ago, so I'm hoping it was a chick, but I get the feeling it wasn't.

I know #1, he's a guy. Not sure about the other one though.

edit: Okay, the other one is a guy as well :D

We really need to do something about those Horse Pigs.

Makes for great conversation though, ehh, SanDiegoSoonerGal!

And she DIDN'T ask that about the creepy papier mache head of Pistol Pete? Does she have a vision problem? :D

That concerns me a bit, cause they always do this really girly dance at the games. I was sure by doing those dances they'd be females.

Excellent question! No, no vision problem, she simply didn't happen to look at the TV when he was on, as she did with the HP. As I said she's not a big sports fan, and was only looking up at the TV from time to time.

LOL. I thought you were referring to the mother in law at first.

The ponies do rock, and have for decades.

The horsepigs, on the other hand, are a fairly new non-rocking development...:D

Just as long as one doesn't start feeling frisky and try to mount the other as adolescent livestock tend to do, then we will be okay.

I still say that. though, do agree with the poster above that Pistol Pete looks more like a guy who spent the night under a bridge with some paint thinner and a fifth of Old Crow than a scion of the old West.

But they dont even look like pigs any longer. That design only lasted a year or two. In the words of Stoops, Google it up to see.

They look like everyone elses anamorphic horse mascots now.

Last year one of the horsepigs was a girl.

I think the horse pigs should sneek up on the other teams cheerleaders.
