Drove to Tulsa last night to meet Marcus Dupree and see Billy Sims for the quatillionth time...It appears that Billy has taken Marcus under his wing. Dupree seemed a little apprehensive at first, but Billy has his way of easing nerves and tension with his outgoing personality.

One of the coolest moments was when somebody brought up stoops and Billy said "He still can't tackle me." Marcus didn't know what he was talking about, so he found the picture of Stoops leaping in the air and Marcus stared at it for a while and said "Is that Bob Stoops?" Billy replied, "Yeah thats him right there..Tough guy, but he can't tackle me!"..Marcus stared at the picture for about 30 seconds shaking his head.

Marcus didn't say much, but when I shook his hand, I told him I appreciated him and the fact he had donated to help build that church. He told me "You are the first person to bring that up when people meet me"..He shook my hand again and gave me a bro hug.

I told Marcus "I drove all the way from McAlester to meet you" to which Billy responded," He drove all the way from Dallas to meet you". Then my dad said "I drove all the way from Philly to see all of ya'll."....Cracked Billy and Marcus up..

Billy had some great lines throughout the night.

On the Detroit Lions- " They couldn't win a superbowl if they had me and barry sanders in the backfield in our primes together."

On osu- " All I know is that they couldn't beat me."

" osu is pretty good this year, but they don't know how to beat oklahoma"

On the watch that Marcus brought up in the 30 for 30 special-" I told Marcus on the way over here that watch was a fake..He still don't believe me."

on Dallas and osu- " Don't either of those cowboy teams know how to win a big game"

Billy to me-" Did you play football with me? Cause you would have made a great Olineman..I would have gave you my watch."

Looks like Marcus is getting a very positive reaction after the 30/30 special. This makes me feel very good. I hope he continues to be able to profit from it.

You should have offered them a 4 Loco.

Step could be standing between two of the most talented RB's to ever to put on a helmet.

Man, that freshman ineligiblity rule would have done wonders for Marcus. Who knows how many Heismans he would have won.

BIG BOOMER

Yeah, great for him. Hope he can make something happen with the publicity.

I always thought it was cool that he made it to the NFL after the injury and bad advice he got. I still remember being shocked when he was cut in preseason.

Marcus never would have made it. He would have gotten fat during his off year. Football was all he had and needed the games on Saturday to have something to play for.
