During the Boise v Nevada game, the announcers just said, "I hope Landry Jones plays." Is he hurt? They mentioned a head or hand injury. I couldn't understand what he said.

Yeah I had to rewind it. He said he was listed as probable? I hope he was just confused.

yes I heard the same thing just now. Rewound and muted and the commentator rod gilmore said he hopes Landry plays, is probable right now with a head injury.....

He might have been thinking of Roy Finch, with his injury from last week. I have no idea though.

That's what came to mind for me when I heard that.

It's so out of the blue, I really think he must just be confused.

I was thinking of Roy too but that really scared me.

He did mention a head injury so he probably was thinking Finch. Crisis averted! :D

I would feel comfortable with Drew Allen starting

Given the way L Jones is cussed on this board more often than not, I would think that many on here would be cheering at the thought!

These announcers are super annoying. They keep going on and on and on about how Boise blew everyone away all year long, thus their players aren`t use to playing in the second half. Of course they blew everyone away. They played all creampuffs (with the exception of V-Tech).

Gilmore said Landry Jones and he was probably thinking of Greg McElroy. Unless one of the Stanford Cardinal has a concussion then he was probably thinking of them.

well he was hit hard a couple times when he SHOULD NOT HAVE been in the game. oh well stoops will learn not to play the starters that late in a blowout. oh wait

Listed as Probable? Dude must have been looking at NFL.com.

They also said Boise State roared back to tie the game...when they actually took the lead. Those guys must have been watching cartoons and just repeating what they were fed through the headset.

If you ever watch a broadcast with Rod Gilmore, 90% of what he says makes you go "what?"

Agreed - I always think that when I watch his games (a number of years now, I think).

My guess is that Stoops had Landry still in the game late in the 3rd quarter because he wanted the first team offense to work on red zone efficiency (in preparation for Ok St). The Sooners continued to struggle with this in the Baylor game, especially in the 2nd half.

PHfffft....just score from 60 yards out. Problem solved.
