Wow, I thought Finch was for sure out for about 4 weeks.

I really hope they keep testing Finch. Not worth it.

They're pretty careful with head injuries. I think if they've cleared him to play, he's really OK to go.

makes sense that bob doesn't want to talk about what is specifically ailing them. Even though its pretty obvious, player safety and all you don't want those bastages twisting box's leg in the pile to try to re hurt him.

This is HUGE news! I have full faith that the training staff will keep Finch out if he is at any risk from the head injury. This is fantastic news for the D and for the O.....that diamond formation isn't the same without Finch and the D is playing more consistently(from what little we've seen) with Box in there.

What would make anyone think it was more than just a bad "stinger"? Everyone has seemed to jump on the concussion thing but I never heard that for sure.

Lets correct this for accuracy, Stoops said today that they will go thru a light workout today and be periodically reassessed throughout the week

Finch looked really good in the new formation. He had a great lead block on Murray's TD run - it was a thing of beauty.

To me, the look in his eyes (as he was being helped off) was not all "there".

Now this is a horse of a different color.....probably means we wont see Finch til next year and Box is done. :(

Yes I have, and in my book, it was not a "holy ****" look.

bad "stingers" don't keep you down that long, and they certainly don't make you look like stunned aggy. That kid didn't know where he was when they helped him off the field.

Was at the game so I couldn't see his face, but heard from my gf that he looked real concussed.

Absolutely...I've seen great blocking out of Finch. No wonder Bob has a man-crush on him.

Neither play is an integral part of our game (especially Finch). Finch is damn exciting don't get me wrong, but we have 2 other back up RBs available. I doubt Bob would be careless with any of his players, he coaches them like their his sons.

WTF was he doing in that game up so much? Why not Madu or Calhoun?

I never heard because we didn't have audio but did he suffer a concussion? It sure looked brutal. Glad to have him back. I was not expecting this.

Dang, we've sure got a lot of psycho..er I mean psychic physicians who post on this site. Based on a TV shot you've already diagnosed serious concussion? I'll bet the Holiday Inn Expresses are plumb-filled up with y'all.

How about we just see what happens on Saturday?

FWIW, I've had a stinger that kept me motionless for over a minute, and I still couldn't use my shoulder/arm very well 20-minutes later. If Finch is head-hurt they ain't gonna play him.

There was about 8 minutes left I think. I mean, Drew Allen was in, but some starters were still in as well. plus Calhoun is out for the year from a torn ACL. but we could've put Madu or Clay in and I know they both played later

dont think hes been diagnosed as a concussion. if he was, I'd guess he wouldnt be in this week

NewsOK says optimistic while TuksaWorld says "optimistic". Is the use of "optimistic" being used in a satirical sense?

Oh, I don't know:

-- Hit a guy head-on at full speed.
-- Immediately went limp and let go of the football
-- took his helmet off and laid on he turf for about 10 minutes.
-- basically walked liked a dazed 90-year-old man (with help) back to the sidelines.

Yeah, everyone jumped to stupid conclusions.

You're right, no one has said he had a concussion (yet, it's just Monday), but at the time it looked a helluva lot worse than just a "stinger."

Thank god! We need Finch back for the diamond formation and to take the haet off Murray. With both in the backfield, you don't know who has the ball and who's blocking. Also keeps one-one-one more so on Broyles. Lots of weapons, lots of guys to cover.

Just imagine if Landry was a sub 4.4 40yarder dual-threat quarterback.

only one I would think "Stinger" with would be Carter.

Yea Carter had a stinger. I know Finch took off his helmet immediately after the hit usually ppl concussed don't do that but it can happen. I just hope they evaluate him throughout the week because it can sneak up on you. I wish him the best and if he doesn't play its not like Madu and Clay will slow the offense down.

Listen, I'm not saying it wasn't a concussion but I am saying that it could be something else. Among a lot of other sports related stuff(playing and career wise) I spent 3 years on the sidelines of an arena football team. A stinger can do exactly what I saw with Finch. The way that he was walked off the field didn't look so much like a concussion as it did that he was having trouble moving. I've seen guys not be able to move at all for several minutes as a result of a stinger.
