View Full Version : BSU/TCU = We are to blame

Both schools continually point to beating the Sooners as their argument for their being viable BCS contenders.

Gary Patterson just said (again) on Gameday, "In 2005 we beat Oklahoma with Adrian Peterson and have gone 15-3 against BCS teams since."

Hmmmmm.

Name the "3"?

Boisy continues to trump up their Fiesta Bowl victory, deflecting criticism of their 82nd ranked schedule strength.

I realize if they had beaten...oh say, aggy, we wouldn't hear a thing about it after 5 years...a backhanded compliment.

Still:

I'm throwing up in my mouth...a lot.

We tend to be rising programs' "signature wins"...BSU, TCU, Colorado (ha!), A&M, Miami, BYU...I guess in order to be a signature win you have to be good though.

Yeah, I think TCU's added to that resume in the last 5 years. Also, Boise beat Oregon in back to back years and Va Tech this year.

I don't see what this year has to do with 2005. If we brought up a game from 5 years ago to show why we are deserving in this year, people would think we're nuts. **** Boise.

I think we should be able to take some of the points we didn't really need in 2008 and use them now. We certainly had plenty to spare.

I guess you could say we are to blame....I still prefer to say that We are what others gauge success as.

I guess TCU already forgot that in 2008 we made them look like tards, 35-10

BSU and TCU are good teams and if they were to play in the SEC, BIG 10, BIG XII, or PAC 10 they would have 2 to 3 losses easily.

On the game telecast lastnight I heard them pumping up Boise's top 5 Def, seriously...outside of VT who lit them up, who have they played?

Wait, I thought it was Wilsons prevent offense. I'm confused.

that's what people don't get, they play sheity offenses, but they SHUT those offenses down. Look at what they did to Fresno St and Hawaii; There aren't many teams in the nation that would shut those down.

People say they are overrated, mmm ok. But how would we know? They play bad teams and beat them like a top program would.

People also say they are getting too much respect, which is completely FALSE. All the teams that were above of Boise before the season started have all lost, yet Boise has been moved down, is that what happen to teams getting "too much respect?" And I can guarantee you that if Auburn loses to Alabama and goes on to beat USC in the SECCG, they will be in the title game over TCU/Boise. So no they aren't getting "too much" respect.

With that said they need to move up to a better conference otherwise it will be the same talk over and over.
