They denied us earlier this year when I really wanted them. This combined with Bob Stoops' comments to the media about road games makes me much less enthusiastic about purchasing these tickets. (I don't plan on it.)

Am I the only one?

Does the coach's projected indifference and/or denial influence anyone else?

(Of course Baylor may keep us out of it anyway. I want to shoot myself for saying this.)

Here's the thing about Stoops: If he were 43-0 in road games, he would be just as guarded and non-analytical about it. Just accept it, it's who he is, and we're lucky to have him.

I agree that we're lucky to have him. It sounds like I may be the only one that's a bit turned off by his comments.

Everytime Stoops used the term "hisself" it turns a lot of people on.

What do you want him to say?
Does it matter.

If he comes out and say's "we stink on the road" does the problem suddenly go away?

Stoops is equally unimpressed when people ask him about his successes. People only get perturbed by this quality when he's lost a game or two.

Can't imagine not wanting tickets, but if you don't want them someone else will.

Anyone who has misgivings about Stoops' commitment to winning need only rewatch the aftermath of Stills' celebration penalty.

After chewing Stills out on the sidelines for a good 20 secs, Bob went back for a second helping on the bench. The guy wants to win, regardless of how he acts around reporters.

I wish all bosses and CEOs were like Stoops. I don't say this because he's OU's coach, but has shown true leadership so far.

It helps nobody for Stoops to come out and complain about his coaches and his players. Mack Brown threw everybody under the buss and they still lost.

Here's the thing about Stoops: If he were 43-0 in road games, he'd have won 4 national titles in a row and nobody would be questioning anything he's doing.

If you're the analytical type, the coach speech just drives you crazy. But that's the very reason he is so successful. He doesn't over analyze, he just prepares for the next game. That's why I love this board, there are several contributors who can translate coach speech into english.

Coach speech: We didn't execute properly or follow our game plan,
Translation: We F*** up, and got our but's kicked.

I just bought Big 12 tix online last night. The cheapy ones, but I don't care. I sit in the north endzone at Owen Field, I can sit there for this game too.

How's that for a little Sooner faith? LOL (It's either faith, or insanity, not sure which)
