First we had to watch the smarmy bowl game videos of Colt and Jordan sitting in a boat together "fishin". Then listen to the friendly banter as they walked into the sunset.

Now the Hornfans are all waiting for the second act to rescue their program:
Case and Jaxon. They claim Mack is sticking it out with Gilbert, just so the two can hit the field together.

Colt and Jordan, Case and Jaxon. Doesn't really conjure the old west Lonestar image for me.

Maybe they will, who knows. But there is no way Mack plays little McCoy this year. If he does better than Gilbert then Mack invites the crazies to get after him even more by proving them correct. If little McCoy gets lit up or throws a bunch of picks then he has two quarterbacks with shaky confidence going into next year. I don't know if he is redshirting or not. either way unless Gilbert gets hurt, I don't see Mack playing him this year.
The bottom line is, that their problem and I'm glad they have it.

colt was and is a great leader, teammate, and overall good person. unselfish, humble, and well spoken. case is the exact opposite. he is a self-entitled dickwheel, and if texas fans think he is going to be anything like his brother, they are in for a big surprise. i have never seen two brothers be so opposite of each other.

Case McCoy has played all of three downs this season. That is part of the whorn fans' ire, that he has already paid the price but is receiving zero benefit (more time on the field). Thus, the conspiracy theorists claim that Mack made a promise to Gilby's parents that this season belonged to him and Mack always keeps his promises . . . There is also the school of thought that after the Chrissy/Major debacle, Mack will never do anytrhing that might smack of a QB controversy again. That is the sa*et season in a nutshell.

REGROUP! read the following web address in the search window (you know, the one that spells out SOONERFANS.COM) and forget about *'s, Mack, BEVO, and the future duo Heisman brothers from back to the future part V and start looking at the future of the OU almost all ture freshman starting lineup that is 8-2 and will be bringing home the CRYSTAL within the next 2 yrs!

I would tend to believe that, except for the fact that it's Texas football and they aren't exactly hurting for top QB talent down there. Mack should not need to promise playing time to anyone, no matter how many stars the recruiting sites give certain players.

More likely, it's just Mack trying to make things work as they are, rather than changing stuff up so late in the season. He really should look back at 2001 and see that it's time to sit Chrissy and play Major.

deals only with a medical redshirt.... say for Case, he played in less that 30%(4 games) of the schedule and then suffered a injury that keeps him basically out the rest of the season, or enough games to make it the season. The school can apply for a medical redshirt. I believe this only applies if he has not redshirted in a season before the one he was hurt in.

as far as taking 3 snaps in one game and that is all he plays this year, he cannot reshirt.
