Saw this today, thought it was kind of funny Tommy Grady is getting a shot at a try out.

In the wake of injuries to their quarterbacking options, Miami signed Patrick Ramsey. The Dolphins also tried out but declined to sign JaMarcus Russell, the former No. 1 overall pick who was a bust with Oakland. ... In addition to Ramsey and Russell, the Dolphins tried out three other quarterbacks Monday: J.T. O'Sullivan, who has played little in stints with 10 NFL teams; Tom Brandstater, a 2009 sixth-round pick for Denver out of Fresno State; and Tommy Grady, an Arena League quarterback from Utah who has worked out for the Dolphins multiple times this year.

Wasn't his issue just not having the mental aspect to play the game at the college level when he was at OU? How did he do in Arena? Did anybody watch him play with the Yard Dawgs?

Did Tommy have grade issues, or just leave OU because of the competition?

And didn't he transfer to Arizona State, or Utah?

Oh, saw "Utah" in article.

Then, uh, was his pet weiner dog named "Bomar"?

A little of both. His grade issues had him sit out a bunch of spring if I recall.

He left because the coaches chose Bomar as the heir apparent. He thought he was transferring somewhere he could be the man but that didn't work out either. He has done pretty well in the arena league so far though.

He's also been quoted as saying he wishes he had stayed at OU. 20-year-olds don't always make the best decisions, at least he's not blaming anyone else for them.

I wish the kid nothing but success. It's a shame he bailed.

Will we someday be saying the same thing about Blake Bell...or will we be wishing he stayed?

How were the most successful kids that have left the program under Stoops? At the moment on 2 come to mind. Chase Beeler and Tashard Choice..sure there are others but think of them right now.

he looked decent in mop up duty, but of course if he knows Bomar was going to get the boot he's gonna think he should stay

most likely he would have been the starter in 2006, and who knows what happens with Bradford. he might still be playing for us...
