Hated to see him go down like that in what is likely the last football game he will ever play. Hope nothing for the best for him moving forward.

The wounded warrior was a good one and had a ton of heart.

Good luck to Adrian!

He would have had a stellar year if not for the injuries. I wish him the best

I was headed down out of my seats in the North EZ yesterday when he went down and I stopped at the monitor to watch them cart him to the lockeroom. I was praying for the best and then they said he'd hurt the same ankle. I really felt sick for him. Prayers his way.

Hard to believe he came back as soon as he did after the bowl game injury. Tough dude.

Hate to see this happen.

Thanks for all you have given to the program, AT!

The only positive is McFarland will get more playing time...

Beal after the game:

On Adrian Taylor's injury:
"It just sucks for him. He battled back to come back early this season and he has been playing his heart out, especially on senior day, the last home game. I really feel for Adrian. I guess his football career may be over, so that's hard for him."

He looked good on Saturday. Sometimes he seems like a guy who doesn't know how to use his size and strength. GH talked a lot about how he became a different person when he stepped on the field. I think McFarland is still learning how step into that killer mentality. I expect big things from him the rest of the year.

Probably extra stress on that leg due to the injury on the other leg. What a gamer, though. Major props to AT.

Should also have Casey Walker back too.

Ugh.....can a torn achilles be fixed, rehabbed, or is that career ending?

It can be fixed, but the rehab is long. He won't be playing any football for about a year.

They will probably give him a nice boot though.

Feel real bad for him. :(

Hope for nothing but the best for him. He did what he was called on to do and did it with style and dedication.

A side point: can anyone with access to the training staff get them to ditch the grandma cart they wheeled him off the field in? I mean, it's bad enough to get a serious injury, but then to get taken off in that glorified Big Wheel is insult on top.

Sad to see him ending his OU career this way.

I feel so bad for him, I know how hard it is to rehab a severe injury, and he's worked his *** off getting back from that horrific break a year ago. I hope he hears from all of his buddies, like GK, etc., support from your friends really helps when you're going thru something like this, it's not just a physical thing, it's very much a mental and emotional thing as well. He's got a rough road ahead, AGAIN, I'll keep him in my prayers. Good luck, AT, thanks for all you gave to OUr team!!

I don't like talking about upgrading what we use to haul our guys off the field with. Having something that's $15-25,000 gives me the weirdest feeling too as it's like were preparing for more if them. There are EMT/Bambulance folks with neck boards and gurneys there. Thank goodness he didn't need one of those.

I see your point, but still feel that the least we can do on what was perhaps his last trip off Owen Field in uniform is get the kid a golf cart. It looked like they'd strapped him onto the top of a roll-on overnight bag or a warehouse dolly.
Alternatively, if we want to go all 'Brothers in Arms' we could get four of the guys who aren't playing to carry him off on a stretcher.
Just trying to give him a manly send-off on what had to be a major league bummer of an afternoon.

The field was pretty damp and soft. Maybe that's why they went with the rickshaw instead of a golf cart. But then again, they drove Bob Barry around in a golf cart so....
