Hope everyone got to hear the fake Mack Brown radio call-in that was posted awhile back. Hilarious stuff.

In the call "Mack" mentions he was doing the "rapid clap" on the sidelines to keep the team going. By now he must have to keep bag balm, or udder butter on the sidelines to keep his hand supple.

I realized that the rapid clap had been annoying me for years. Every coach seems to do it, and in the worst situations:

3 and out: rapid clap
missed field goal: rapid clap
turnover: very rapid clap

Whatever happened to the "hands on hips and spit"? Surely there must be a more effective tactic.

The rapid clap must be infectious. Jason Garrett just did it when the cowboys missed an XP.

This season may have cured Mack Brown. I don't recall seeing as much clapping last night as in other games.

I've watched a little bit of Texas losing - Mack's been clapping a lot less. Muschamp has been chest thumping a lot less too. Greg Davis still looks like a lost old man up in the booth. They are completely finished this season, even if there's two games left on their schedule. It just doesn't matter. That team is done.
