Hell - I'm wondering how ESPN found places to put their cameras:

- Hey can we put one on top of the popcorn machine?

- Yeah, lets wrap that cable around the volleyball pole!

Please match this team with an AQ BCS team, Please. I just want them to face someone ... anyone who can play other than VT. That game could have been so different this time of year. I will give it to them, they can play. But cupcakes week in and week out has to be nice. Please, anyone but TCU.... Please. If they get set up with TCU again I will shoot my face off.

Whoopee, Boise wins 52-14, another impressive win for the Broncos. Gets tougher from here on out with games against Fresno State and Nevada.

They're in Fresno State's head so they'll blow out the Dogs. Nevada is a maybe.

Yeah, VT's success is what's holding Boise up for now. What's funny is that VT always drops games early that everyone thinks they shouldn't. But no one seems to remember that this year when it's convenient to pump up Boise.

I bet Boise had that in mind when they scheduled VT for the season opener...

Boise may not even make it into a BCS game even if they go undefeated.

If Boise is as good as it's fans say they are then schedule one of those arrogant *** SEC schools. Personally, if there is one school that Les had to use all of his luck/bag of tricks on then let it be Boise. It might just happen in a bowl this year.

I find this amusing (yet still very true). VT got beat by a JMU team that isn't even in the FCS top 25 AND has a losing record (at this point) after getting beat by Richmond last week.

yep, This Boise team can beat anyone.

But they don't have too. It is an entirely different dynamic when a team only has 1 or 2 real games on their schedule. Any team can get up for 1 or 2 games. Think if they played in the SEC week in and week out they would be undefeated. I certainly don't think so.

Nobody is required to take them even undefeated. Especially if an undefeated TCU is ahead of them in the rankings. So, concievably you could have BCS bowls filling out with conference tie ins in a case to appeal to fan bases by regionality leaving Boise to play in the Boise Bowl on the Boise Turf against a team that has no interest in being in Boise.

A BSU v. LSU matchup might be one of the few games where I would cheer heartily for LSU -- which would ensure their losing, btw :( .

And yep. They'd better hope that teams like Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Stanford start losing. And TCU, of course, but that's not happening.

Boise would give any team in their bowl game a good fight and probably win. If it's the Humanitarian Bowl, they will murder their opponent. I hope they get into a BCS bowl just because it will make for a better game.

he may be a BCS guru but he's wrong in the fact that the Big XII runner up (2-loss at least) would get an at-large bid. That just WON'T happen.

An undefeated Boise WILL play in a BCS bowl, and that's a lock.

He also claims that Alabama (3-loss at least in his scenario) will be the next best available SEC team, which obviously won't be the case

Well, that was from November 4th. Now the Big 12 runner up won't get an at-large bid, but Stanford may jump in there if they win out, since they will only have 1 loss to the #1 team in the country.

And you can sub LSU in for Alabama at this point. Boise can still make it into a BCS bowl, but it's far from a lock.

ok work with me here...this is on the basis that both Auburn and Oregon remain undefeated along with TCU and Boise. In fact, we'll go along with these 1 loss teams remaining 1 loss teams.

Oregon/Auburn BCS title game

Big 10 (#1)/TCU Rose Bowl

LSU/Stanford or Big 10 #2 Sugar Bowl

ACC/Stanford or Big 10 #2 Orange Bowl

Big 12 Champ/Big East Champ Fiesta Bowl

Undefeated Boise State/Non Caring Opponent in Boise Snorefest Bowl

The point is that they don't get an automatic bid to the BCS if TCU is ranked above them. BCS bowls would prefer not to take them (but may feel they have to if the difference in rankings is large compared to the AQ at large teams). If they don't land a BCS bowl, most other bowls have tie ins with conferences that could have them fall all the way to the Humanitarian Bowl.
