Well he said he would still vote for Cam unless something substantial came out. I giggled. One cheater votin' for another.

Maybe they will have something else in common soon. Destroying a football program

Okay, I'm here.

CJ denies ever taking money as a player and no credible evidence has ever surfaced that Craig James ever took any money.

If James didn't take money he'd be the only one at SMU at the time who didn't. I'd say he is lying.

Given that, I never understood why they got so upset with Leach for putting Adam in a tool shed.

I agree. When he had the other tools job (Herbstreit) before him, I thought he was decent. He probably is one of the better white running backs to play in the NFL. Very good before injuries set in. He lost it along the way, probably somewhere in all the greed he has. Yep, he used to be decent, sad.

How deep did it go at SMU?

One of the SMU regents at the time was Bill Clemens. Old Bill went on to win the governorship of Texas. After he had been sworn in, it came to light, following the NCAA investigation of SMU players being paid, one of them was still on the "payroll" and that this was common knowledge among the SMU regents. When asked about it, governor Bill Clemens reponded that they had promised to pay the young man for coming to SMU to play football. He did and so they were honoring their "commitment" to him, even though they had been caught and were about to be punished for it. No shame, no denial, just business as usual in the state of Texas.

There is a good chance that Craig James took money while playing for SMU, but that's about all one could say.

Adam complained that it was only 1/3 the size of the tool shed he grew up in at home.

Well, my guess is the kid could have argued that he entered a verbal contract. I believe this was before many states passed laws against this stuff so I'm guessing the fact that it's an NCAA violation doesn't alter the agreement between player and school/booster.

I'm sorta kidding and I don't at all know what legally is at play but we do have to recognize that NCAA rules are not the law of the land.

I'd be interested on how the attorneys/law students view this.
