Is it opening weekend of deer season in Oklahoma too? A lot of tickets have changed hands cheaply for the NU/KU game this week for that reason.

Jesus H. I had a salesman tell me this when I asked him to get someone out to my place to repair the damaged garage door that they replaced last week. They put a supposedly new garage door on my home, but I noticed it was damaged. The salesman got a hold of me and told me that he couldn't get to it this weekend because of deer season.

I was like WTF, I don't care if it's your kids attending ****ing hunters safety courses...come fix the ****in door.

Okies are weird sometimes.

People seem go even more nuts down here about it, I never noticed deer season being that big of a deal in OKC.

It's the same everywhere I've lived...OK, WA, MN, LA, TX. Hunters live for opening day of deer season and fishermen live for opening day as well. Best weekends of the year for a single man to go clubbing too.:D

Nope, that's next weekend! Nov. 20th is opening of rifle season.

Yeah he lied his a$$ off, unless he's a big archery hunter. In that case, tell him he has until Jan. 15th to hunt, so get his a$$ over to your house!

But yes, once the 20th hits, some industries kind of shut down for 2 weeks straight.

I saw 4 together for $180 on Craigslist. Will be lucky to get 80-100 for them IMO.

Also another....4 Donors up top on East side $300....lol

If they were gonna get good money for those they should have sold before Mizzou.

I'm not forgetting....I saw folks selling them back then for more than face in Tulsa and getting it. Now folks are just lucky if they get $10 less than face.

I don't understand hunters; hell we have people plan their vacation weeks around hunting season and i'm wondering why the hell they can't get bambi on the weekend and be done with it

I like the ones who keep an automatic feeder out year round then go shoot a deer standing next to it and still call themselves "hunters". :)

That's a great strategy. I would lace the food with something that would slow them down.

Hey, I understand wanting to hunt and fish, but don't use that as an excuse to a customer as to why you're company will not come out to repair an item that they purchased from you, lol.

Priorities I guess. I would have appreciated a good old fashioned lie, like my mom is having surgery or my kid has a football game or my wife is gonna slo-blow me today. Something creative along those lines. :D

Really? Never knew Senior Day was a big draw. It is nice for the kids and their families and they receive applause etc. But it is over pretty quick and not that big of a deal.

B/C those of us that do that aren't after Bambi! We're after Grandpa. We're trophy hunters, not just meat hunters.

I could very easily fill my tag at day break every season, but there's some seasons I don't shoot a single thing. As I only shoot 165+ B/C. Luckily the last 4 years I've been lucky enough to take a buck that's 170+ every year, and this year should be no different, as I've got 2 running around that are 180 class. But once season starts, they change their patterns and disappear. Alot become totally nocturnal, as such you'll never see them during season. If you get lucky enough to hit in the rut, then everything's out the window and logic and patterns totally don't apply.

Not quite that easy, read above. Besides, if your like me, and run Protein feeders and other nutritional supplementation, it's not about attraction and hunting over it. It's about growing the racks.... think of it like our football team drinking protein shakes and eating the right foods to grow bigger, except for deer.
