It is bum **** players like Jones that causes our demise. He looks good in practice and at home but falls to pieces on the road. He will not be replaced , but if he would be, our future would be much brighter. Listen, he is a great kid, just not a dependable QB under pressure. As long as he is playing , our success rate will be questionable. Hopefully , next year he will be beaten out by a true athlete with thick skin and a heart to go with it.

It's Landry Jones' fault that his O-Line can't give him more than 2 seconds to throw. :rolleyes:

Landry jones completed 61% of his passes for 290 yards 1 td 1 int and was sacked 4 times

A lot of his incompletions especially in the 2nd half were him throwing the ball away (which was the smart play) to avoid a sack or b/c we had another stupid screen play called that the defense knew was coming and that left landry with the only option being force the ball and risk int or throw it into the ground by the wr/rb's feet (again the smart play).

So...Nope its not Landry.

Of the Top 50 rated QBs in college football by passing efficiency, only 14 are Fresh or Soph. Landry is rated #31, of the 30 rated higher than him, 24 are JRs or SRs

Landry's only problem is that he is following Sam Bradford, who as a fresh and soph led the country in Pass efficiency.

Yep, everyone says they understand the SB dynamic but when it all comes down to it, they really dont seem to. Landry is having a really good year, especially for a soph

At this point in his college career he's a nice college quarterback. No more no less. He's following a legend so he'll never be able to please most spoiled Sooner fans.

With that said, only time will tell how well he does or if he leads us to the promised land. We still have a few games left and the Big XII Title game is within his and the teams grasp. Who knows, maybe he gets us there. Stoolwater and Wacko, aren't exactly Kyle field.

We shall see...

Heh...I've been here long enough now that most times I can read the thread title and know that the OP will be 'red' before I even click on the thread. :cool:

Oh, and just to throw in my 2 cents...Landry is not the problem. OUr problem on both O and D is in the trenches.

It is not in the trenches, it is the lack of leadership from the QB. He couldn't lead a horse to water when it was dying of thirst. He must be a leader and have some presence in the pocket. He has nothing resembling presence , except for the **** stains on the crotch of his pants from fear of being hit.
