Normally new coaches do well with other peoples' recruits. It appears this is the exact opposite with Kelly and RichRod.

Why did you have to go find new delusional people when there's still plenty right here?

I like to have variety in my delusional people.

Yea that's true. Richrod is actually having his best year w/ Michigan right now.

Bowl eligible, and fans still talking about getting rid of him btw.

Its hilarious. Which makes the real ppl that want KW fired look like idiots.

To be fair, the more intelligent fans up here want to see Greg Robinson on a bus out of town, and some are willing to pay for it.

But that shouldn't be a surprise, the guy keeps getting jobs but has been as close to fail as one can get at all his stops.

Any Mich fan with any intelligence would realize 2 things...

1) Loyd Carr left the cupboard pretty empty

2) That offense has to have the right kind of talent to run, they now have that talent and are getting more of it each year. Now, he does need to get rid of G-Rob, I have no idea how that guy gets D-coord jobs anywhere

Mallet didn't xfer until after RichRod took over. Defenders that were recruited by Carr and played at least 1 season under RichRod are in the NFL now. What killed RichRod right away was that Pryor stayed in Ohio, and he couldn't get a QB until he got Robinson last year. I know plenty of fans that would rather see Forcier at QB and Robinson converted into a Percy Harvinesque type of player.

Collier11

If they had an avg D they would be 8-1 right now probably and as for Mallet, he never stood a chance in that system, wouldnt have worked

Scott D

Point being, Carr didn't leave the cupboard bare.

The turnaround won't be complete w/o a win over sweater boy and the Ohio minions. If Roddy could do that this year, they'd rename the stadium after him.

Scott D
11/9/2010, 04:05 PM
I disagree, they wouldn't name it after Bo, they won't name it after RichRod.

We respect Switzer so much, he is known as The King to Sooners. But we don't revere him. We don't go revering em until they are dead . . .

He's dead now so it doesn't really matter.

But he did take me to meet Woody Hayes, and he was an absolute gentleman. I find it hard to believe he'd punch anyone, even though I saw it with my own eyes.

I worked with a guy who played for Hayes that said the guy when riled up was one of the biggest *******s this side of Stalin.

Then again, this guy did ride the pine for his 3 years.

Archie Griffin spoke highly of him. That and my own observations are good enough for me.

I only get a shot when I have to spend an extended period of time in Ohio. I've had more tetanus shots than one person ever deserved.

Yeah, marrying into a UM family too - my fiance grew up in AA and went to Michigan for undergrad. At our wedding reception, we're walking in to "The Victors" and being announced as a couple by the Michigan football announcer. Yeah, the fiance is a bit of a fan.

So which scapegoat is he? Offensive or defensive coordinator? (It's always one or the other.)

DC. And he's not a scapegoat, because that implies that the scorn isn't deserved. ;) I've been a GERG apologist, but even I'm getting tired of him.

Well Leroy he's a bit of a different situation than either of our coordinators.

He was run out of Denver (NFL DC), followed by a stint that resulted in being run out of Austin (DC), to being run out of Syracuse (head coach), to being on the verge of being run out of Ann Arbor (DC)

he's had a pattern of underperforming defenses and bad scheming for multiple locations.

We've already been invaded by to many pokes on this board this week and there is no way I'm gonna click on a link that takes you directly to their lair of bestiality.

He was run out of KC as well between Denver and UT....

That's because they are delusional here is SE Michigan. Especially Ann Arbor, where they still believe in Hope & Change
