I honestly have no idea how the spreads and lines work, no one has ever explained it to me. Would one of you kind ladies or gents give me the low down?

You mean how they set up the lines? or what the lines mean? I'm going to say the latter for now and answer that.

This week for example OU is favored by 14, so OU is -14 and T Tech is +14. Basically if you bet on OU, they have to win after you SUBTRACT 14 points from them. Inversely if you bet on T Tech, they have to win after you ADD 14 points to them.

So basically if you bet on OU -14, they have to win by 14 or more otherwise you lose the bet, and if you bet on T Tech +14 they have to lose by 14 or less/ or win. If OU wins by exactly 14, then you don't win/lose you get a "PUSH" and get your money back.
