That there was some Crappy football yesterday?
Hell Of the teams that were favored I think only 50% of em won .

Some onr mentioned Parity and Im becoming a believer in It . Theres way to much money out there and even rinky dink schools are on TeeVee all the time
No School can stock pile Talent and the Great players arnt willing to ride Pine when they Can get On TeeVee at and Start their freshman year elsewhere.

No, we were the only school in the whole country that lost. :| Alabama and Missouri don't count, and neither does Neb getting lucky. Oh, and Utah doesn't count either.

There's one school that CAN stockpile talent: Boise State.

Lower academic requirements, nobody on their schedule every year, etc.

That's why they should bane them from the BCS until they join a REAL conference.

The Big 12 especially is absolutely Schizophrenic this year. Well, and the SEC, ACC, BigTEN, and every other league...

I think I'm just hungover...as Rodney Dangerfield's mother in law told him "your whole body looks bloodshot"

I noticed what seemed like a large number of large numbers -- teams scoring 50 or more. Navy got 76 and a couple or more others got in the 60s, including Poor Illinois who scored 65 and lost.

3 overtimes shouldn't count. That said, both Illinois and Michigan scored 45 in regulation.

The only teams playing real defense are TCU and Boise. But they don't count because weak conferences blah, blah, blah.

My worst nightmare...
Powder Puff teams in Powder Puff conferences are going to be playing for the National Championship while the teams with the talented players who played lights out real football are limping around watching the game with casts, crutches and taped up body parts.

Yesterday was a weird day all along. I felt off from the moment I got up and the more football I saw the stranger the day felt.

no logic that i can see.

but then, logic doesn't often show up on this board.

Yea and TCU has been holding teams to season lows the past 3 years.

I'm not sure I'd say that Boise State stockpiles talent. Most of their players are 2 and 3 star recruits. I'm not sure they have a single 4 or 5 star recruit, though I could be wrong.

This may be true, but if you say anything positive about a non-AQ here, you must also regurgitate the standard disclaimer about the weak conference and/or schedule. Sometimes you get a pass with TCU, but not BSU. It's the law and you have been warned.

They are stockpiling 3 star recruits. Sam was a 3 star as I recall - OMG! BSU has an army of Sam Bradfords in waiting!

So 3 star recruits can win Heisman's?

weird.

Wonder how that happens?
